The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Material Acquisition Element Chief, providing analytical support, technical expertise, and first-line supervision in the ordering, stocking, and maintenance of equipment, parts, and supplies.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Determines stock levels for recurring and non-recurring items based on usage, project demands, and funding limitations. Performs and manages all vehicle operations for the unit as the primary Vehicle Control Officer (VCO).
Provides direct assistance to customers and other organizations on supply problems and issues, maintaining effective working relationships to ensure the timely handling of special requests.
