As a Supervisory Vocational Rehab Counselor (AVREO) you will: supervise VR&E staff at the Regional Office and out-based locations to include VetSuccess on Campus sites. The AVREO is responsible for the administration and workload management of the Division, to assure all performance goals in the areas of timeliness, accuracy, cost, customer satisfaction, and employee development are achieved.
Specific duties include: Answers technical questions for counselors and support staff in VR&E; Supervises (plan, organize, direct, control, review, etc.) the work activities of subordinates; Responds to congressional requests, White House, or other inquiries; Prepares correspondence for internal and external stakeholders; Presents to staff and external groups, explaining the VR&E mission; Represents VR&E at town hall meetings and functions within the community; Identifies alternative solutions to complex case problems.
