Key Responsibilities

As a Supervisory Wildland Firefighter (Fire Program Supervisor) your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Provides leadership, direction, coordination, and oversight for one or more complex wildland fire management program areas. Develops implementation strategies for new policies, initiatives, and organizational priorities while ensuring consistency with agency objectives and interagency standards.

Analyzes existing policies, procedures, directives, and organizational practices to determine effectiveness in meeting organizational objectives. Evaluates program effectiveness through analysis of performance measures, workload trends, operational data, organizational assessments, and strategic objectives.

Exercises first-level supervisory authority over professional, technical, scientific, administrative, and support employees engaged in one or more wildland fire management program areas.
