The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as Chief, Youth center with responsibility as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, exercising control over nonsupervisory, non-appropriated, and appropriated funded employees assigned to the Youth Cneter, and manages a stand-alone facility.
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of a conventional but comprehensive Youth Program which stimulates and sustains the interest of children and to contribute to their social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development. Provides supervision to Appropriated and Non-Appropriated employees.
Administers activities and plans consisting of elements of mathematical and letter concept, language development, art, music, science, social studies, health, physical educations, games, outdoor activities, fitness, and field trips to surroundings area of interest. Evaluates the effectiveness of planned social/recreational activities from the standpoint of participant's responses, vailiable resources, unforeseen developments, marketing campaign, and program objectives.
