This vacancy is for a GS-2210-14, SUPV IT CYBER SECURITY SPEC (PLCYPLN), GS-2210-14 Direct Hire located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, ALC INFORMATION SYSTEMS DIVISION -ISD in ELIZABETH CITY, North Carolina.
The incumbent in this position acts as the Service Owner to provide service for information assurance, delivery, support and technical expertise for information assurance operations for information systems services. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Developing methods to monitor and measure risk, compliance, and assurance efforts. . Reviewing or conducting audits of information technology (IT) programs and projects. . Coordinating and manages the overall service provided to a customer end-to-end. Participating in the acquisition process as necessary. Developing supply chain, system, network, performance, and cybersecurity requirements. Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position. A. Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level I (FAC P/PM-I) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position. B. Information Assurance Management Level III (IAM-III) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.
