As the Director for Bank Advisory, you will serve as operational executive and key advisor to OCC management on significant banking, legal, and supervisory issues pertaining to Bank Advisory matters. Chief Counsel's Office Washington, D.C.
As the Director for Bank Advisory, you will: Direct operations of the unit including the development of key communications to internal and external stakeholders subject to the direction of the Deputy Chief Counsel and Chief Counsel. Provide guidance and legal assistance to OCC management with respect to unusual and complex issues having national significance and develop sound legal precedents in order to support OCC policy objectives. Prepare authoritative legal opinions on highly complex policy matters dealing with national banking law and other applicable statutes. Represent the OCC with industry, and Congressional and executive branch committees within assigned areas of responsibility. Maintain current knowledge of pertinent legal issues facing the OCC and the banking industry and coordinate with professional staff of other federal banking agencies and the administration regarding national banking matters. Evaluate performance in accordance with OCC guidelines; make personnel action decisions regarding promotions, adverse actions, etc.; and provide training and development opportunities.
You must have graduated with a J.D. or an LL.M. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
