As a Telecommunications Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Serves as a technical authority with responsibility for advising on the technological feasibility of processes, systems, and equipment utilized in HSI investigative operations. Maintains and reviews state-of-the-art electronic surveillance systems and equipment, working with manufacturers, vendors, and program managers to derive new functional designs that will make the systems and devices more efficient at fulfilling HSI mission requirements. Recommends to program managers changes in program directions, solutions to problems or redirection of effort as required. Recommends processes and systems to improve HSI capabilities in meeting the electronic surveillance needs of investigation. Coordinates technical elements of the agency's technical operations including design and construction of electronic surveillance devices and systems.
