The position is located in Nursing Services at the Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS), Lake Nona Campus. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining computerized time and leave records for nursing staff and performing a broad range of timekeeping, reporting, and tracking functions in support of the Nursing Administrative Officer.
Performs the following duties as assigned: The incumbent maintains computerized time and leave records in Nursing Services for approximately 300 employees.
Posts daily time worked; annual leave and sick leave; military leave; authorized absences; leave without pay (LWOP); absences without leave (AWOL); overtime and compensatory time requests; on-the-job injury/worker's compensation (OWCP); non-pay; Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA); Paid Parental Leave (PPL); holiday pay and excused holiday time; and unscheduled work hours for parttime and intermittent employees.
Maintains comprehensive tracking of Paid Parental Leave (PPL) for eligible employees. Produces premium pay reports at the close of each pay period, capturing all applicable differentials, overtime, and other premium pay types, and submits these reports to the Nursing, Administrative Officer for review and reconciliation.
Provides coverage of Time and Leave (T&L) responsibilities for other assigned T&L units during periods of staff leave or absence, ensuring that timecards for all affected employees are completed accurately and on time in accordance with established bi-weekly payroll deadlines. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 730am - 400pm Telework: Adhoc telework may be available, subject to VA Policy and supervisory approval.
