Job Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D0884000 and is part of the KS Joint Forces Headquarters, National Guard.
Key Responsibilities
As a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2130-11, you serve as the Command Transportation Officer and represents the Director of Logistics on transportation matters involving movement of personnel, equipment and supplies, both domestically and internationally. Serve as principle representative for military transportation matters and for planning and executing unit movements.
Direct, oversee and provide technical guidance for preparation, maintenance and execution of movement plans for mobilization and deployment. Coordinates surface and air movements with appropriate DOD, federal and state agencies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Coordinate commercial requirements with the Traffic Management Office as needed for commercial transportation. Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements. Telework: ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK
