Job Summary

Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below for IMPORTANT additional information. The primary purpose of this position is to t provide experience and training under the PAQ Program which leads to the professional development in the training and Curriculum Specialist field.

Key Responsibilities

Performs tasks to assist training and curriculum specialists in developing age-appropriate activity plans for children 6 weeks through 12 years of age. Performs tasks to assist the Training and Curriculum Specialist in developing administering and evaluating on going programs of age-appropriate individual and group developmental.

Assists in conducting training for Child and Youth Program Assistants (CYPAs), Family Child Care providers, Kitchen Staff, Custodial, Volunteers and Clerical staff. Performs tasks to assist in providing support to the Family Child Care Coordinator on necessary training of family childcare providers and other staff. Helps select, compile, and maintain a training and resource library for Child and Youth Program facilities.

Performs tasks to assist in the direction of cooks, food service workers, and custodial staff.

Requirements & Education

Any individual who was awarded a degree by an institution of higher education from a PUBLIC or other non-profit institution not more than two years before the date of appointment meets the basic eligibility requirement to apply for the DHA Recent Graduates Program; OR Any individual who has completed a period of obligated service in a uniformed service of more than four years and was awarded a degree by an institution of higher education from a public or other non-profit institution not more than four years before the closing of this announcement meets the basic eligibility requirement to apply for the DHA Recent Graduates Program.

You MUST provide transcripts to support your educational claims. Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Please submit copies of all transcripts, to include transferred hours-official copies are not required at time of application. If selected, you will be required to provide official copies of all transcripts. NOTE: Degree Audits are not accepted.

An accrediting institution recognized by the U.S.
