The primary purpose of this position is to serve as training instructor, evaluator, and technical advisor for the evaluation, initial training, and selection of potential military working dogs (MWD) for the 341st Training Squadron (341 TRS) Breeding Program in the most effective and humane manner possible in accordance with existing organizational & regulatory procedures.
Critical Performs the day-to-day training and evaluation of potential explosive/drug detection and patrol dogs(puppies) within the 341 TRS breeding program. Advises management and supervisors on assessments and deficiencies in training programs. Maintains MWD (puppy) progress and training records, records metrics and prepares related reports. Participates in special projects associated with MWD breeding/training program.
