Job Summary

The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of Secure Transportation (OST) has the perfect employment opportunity for a Training Specialist (Secondary). In this position you will serve as a Training Specialist (Secondary) responsible for the execution and oversight of highly specialized training programs and projects for an Agent Operations Command.

Key Responsibilities

As a Training Specialist (Secondary), you will: Responsible for development of training curriculum and training course management for all phases of OST Federal Agent-Nuclear Materials Courier training. Manages, coordinates and administers training programs; identifies training resources and ensures Training Approval Program requirements are met.

Responsible for the production of Execution/Exercise Plans to include training design documents, training/exercise plans, training schedules, safety plans, security plans, logistical support forms, and other supporting documentation such as legal agreements, points of contact, air/ground transport plans.

Knowledge of Transportation Safeguard Systems activities and associated federal agent functions necessary to ensure that training drills and exercises, incident notifications and communication procedures are appropriate to the situations that are encountered during actual convoy operations. Conduct annual Unit sustainment training and Validation Force-on-Force Exercises as well as large scale Operational Readiness Training events.

Provides mandatory training to ensure compliance with safety, health, emergency management, transportation and security regulations during operations.
