The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) manages the day to day Aerial Port Squadron activities and serve as senior representative in lieu of unit commander. Provides advice and guidance to the Wing, Group and Squadron Commanders. Accomplishes a variety of tasks ensuring reservists are properly trained and equipped to ultimately meet unit's capability to perform assigned mission.
Provides development, training, and deployment of reserve personnel. Duties: 1: As the senior ART, plans, organizes, and manages the day-to-do activities of the Aerial Port squadron. 2: Manages the day-to-day unit deployment and mobility programs for assigned UTCs and assists with planning for current and future taskings. 3: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Serves as single point of contact for day-to-day unit budget/financial issues.
4: Represents the unit at a variety of installation and functional capacities and also oversees various Aerial Port Squadron related support programs.
