The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) manages the day-to-day Aerial Port Squadron activities and serve as senior representative in lieu of unit commander. Provides advice and guidance to the Wing, Group and Squadron Commanders. Accomplishes a variety of tasks ensuring reservists are properly trained and equipped to ultimately meet unit's capability to perform assigned mission.
Provides development, training, and deployment of reserve personnel. Duties: 1: As the senior ART, plans, organizes, and manages the day-to-do activities of the Aerial Port squadron. 2: Manages the day-to-day unit deployment and mobility programs for assigned UTCs and assists with planning for current and future taskings. 3: Serves as single point of contact for day-to-day unit budget/financial issues. 4: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
5: Represents the unit at a variety of installation and functional capacities and also oversees various Aerial Port Squadron related support programs.
