The primary purpose of this position is: To ensure Treaty Compliance is accomplished in accordance with applicable regulatory statures. Serves as Chief, Arms Control Branch for planning, programing and managing organizational compliance with international treaty law for all ACC Western area of operations.

Key Responsibilities

Directs and manages all inspector activities during international treaty inspections. Oversees all matters relating to treaty compliance, including inspections, exhibitions, monitoring, security, training and eliminations are accomplished in accordance with applicable treaties, Department of Defense, Department of State, Department of Justice, United States Air Force, and local directives.

Provides expert technical assistance, guidance and policy on treaty and arms control agreement compliance procedures. Serves as treaty advisor to the wing commanders, group commanders, and all agencies located in the ACC Area of Responsibility for the Western United States. Develop and coordinate compliance guidance for ACC Western Region for subordinate wings and units. Review and coordinate on higher headquarters Directives and Instructions.

Represents Air Force Strategic Arms Reduction interests with a variety of functional area organization and Government contract personnel: Under guidance from ACC establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with the Department of State Nuclear Risk Reduction Center, the Joint Staff, Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), HQ AFGSC, HQ AFMC, HQ AFSPC, HQ PACAF and government contract personnel, as well as other offices/personnel involved in or impacted by strategic arms control programs.

Represents Air Force interests impacting, or impacted by, initial development or subsequent modification of information systems supporting strategic arms reduction treaty implementation management or reporting requirements. Meets with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolve significant problems that arise.

Serves as a key advisor to the Director of Plans and Programs (XP) on all matters related to strategic planning, program management, and mission assurance. Provides long-term continuity and institutional knowledge for the organization's critical programs.
