Job Summary

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER.

Major Duties

Ensure program compliance with USDA CCAFP, DoD and State guidelines to include menu planning, food purchasing, and preparation. Areas of responsibility include the Child Development Center and Youth Activities as well as Family Child Care. Serves as point of contact for technical advice, training and guidance on State/USDA requirements and food/nutrition information. Collects claim reimbursement forms from providers and calculates reimbursement rate paid to provider on a monthly basis. Reviews menu production records, meal counts, meal components and quantities for accuracy. Overseas the maintenance of records and provides reports to responsible agencies, to include applications, agreements and claims made to the State and CCAFP. Ensures health and sanitation requirements are followed through periodic self-inspection. Ensures family style dining practices are followed and food service program facilitates these practices. Reconciles monthly invoices and billing and creates reports. Must be able to safely drive a passenger van to transport food program supplies to the various activities. Conduct inventory monthly, use computer for all reports and creates and files monthly reports in accordance with USDA Food Program. Must possess maturity and good judgement, like working with small children and their parents. Requires long periods of time continually bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 40 pounds in indoor and outdoor settings. This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing.
