This position is located in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Field Organization, Plains Area (PA), National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF), Manhattan, KS. The incumbent will serve as a pathologist to devise and perform state of the art experiments examining transmission and pathogenesis of foreign animal diseases to domestic livestock and wildlife.
Study the transmission, pathogenesis, virus-host interactions, hot immune responses, and epidemiology of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD), classical swine fever (CSF) and vesicular stomatitis virus (VS).
