Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to lead three or more workers to accomplish trades and/or labor work on a substantially full time and continuing basis. Leader is responsible to both perform the work assigned by a supervisor and ensures that subordinates completed assigned work consistent with trades and labor standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of three or more workers in performance of various related work. Performs the entire spectrum of trades/and or labor task appropriate for the occupations and grade of the team for which they are assigned working leader. Secures freight such as heavy, unbalanced machinery, vehicles, and equipment; industrial plant equipment; artillery; odd-shaped containers; large explosive bombs, rockets, and missiles; nuclear materials.
Performs a wide variety of standard and specialized preservation and/or packing work. Operates electric, LPG, or diesel-powered forklifts capable of lifting loads weighing less than 10,000 pounds. Uses and maintains various types of hand and/or power tools. Performs duties in a safe manner, utilizing safety practices and procedures, and complying with established safety rules and regulations.
