This position is located within the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Financial Management Directorate (FMD), Audit Support & Internal Controls Division. FMD provides accounting and audit support services for the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW), Office of the Director of Administration and Management (DA&M), WHS, Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA), and other assigned Department of War (DoW) agencies and field activities.
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as a senior accountant and analyst for Audit Sustainment and Remediation. In this capacity, the incumbent is responsible for executing efforts to remediate WHS' audit issues to support the DoW in obtaining a clean audit opinion. Contributes to work efforts to achieve audit sustainment and remediation milestones of the DoW.
Responsible for performing audit preparation and sustainment functions and assessing compliance for accounting processes, records, reports, and supporting systems. Provides financial and accounting advice and assistance to support customers in the application of financial management and accounting principles. Provides functional recommendations on finance and accounting issues.
Routinely meets with representatives from OSW, Military Departments, and other agencies to exchange information, solve problems, and assist customers in meeting requirements.

Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis.
If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
