This position is located within the Albuquerque Service Unit located In Albuquerque, New Mexico. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Chief Administrative Officer for the service unit. The Chief Administrative Officer is responsible for directing and integrating of administrative management programs, resources and services to achieve health care delivery and organizational objectives.
A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Service Unit administrative functions, including HR, purchasing, property, space, contracts, and office operations. Plan and oversee the Service Unit budget, spending, revenue, contracts, staffing, equipment, supplies, and other resources. Direct supervisors and employees, set work priorities, evaluate performance, address employee issues, and support effective teams.
Develop operating plans, review processes and internal controls, solve administrative problems, and improve efficiency and compliance. Coordinate administrative support for patient care programs, training agreements, Tribal health programs, and implementation of IHS and HHS requirements.
This position is with Indian Health Service, Department of Health and Human Services.

The posted pay range is $107592 – $139871/yr.
