Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an aircraft engine mechanical work inspector leader, providing training, certification, and working directly with mechanical journeymen and non-journeymen performing tasks such as giving guidance to others on proper aircraft repair procedures, methods, workload and ensure deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities
Provides guidance and passes on to others instructions received from supervisor and gets work started. Performs troubleshooting on a variety of conventional and/or modified non-fielded, prototype or pre-production; and/or extensively modified (Type 2) aircraft engines that are dedicated to support research, development, test and evaluation, and in-service testing of potential replacement engine items (form, fit, function).
Receives new, repaired, or modified parts, components, and assemblies. Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment.
