This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month.

The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as shift supervisor for all flight line maintenance activities, enforcing schedules, and directing work priorities over various skilled mechanics. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. DUTIES: 1. Performs work planning responsibilities.
The expediter is responsible for the quality, quantity and timeliness of work performance, and therefore, must plan and prioritize availability of all resources, to include personnel, equipment, materials, tools, facilities and aircraft. 2. Performs work direction responsibilities. Assigns work to individuals and provides technical direction and/or help in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes. 3. Performs administration responsibilities.
Advises employees of performance expectations and explains new work techniques, as required. 4. Ensures education in, compliance with, and practice of security directives, good safety, and health habits in all work areas.
Reserve Training: Administers the reserve training and associated programs for the shift ensuring consistent standards throughout the section for traditional reservists and ARTs.
