This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month.

Key Responsibilities
The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Aircraft Maintenance Production Superintendent exercising technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers in accomplishing direct aircraft maintenance activities in the accomplishment of unit flying schedules and maintenance plans, to assign priorities to aircraft production work, direct actions to resolve resource shortages in a Sortie Generation Flight (SGF), and to train reservists in the duties and responsibilities set forth herein.
DUTIES: Performs work planning responsibilities. Performs work direction responsibilities. Performs administrative responsibilities. Ensures education in, compliance with, and practice of security directives, good safety, and health habits in all work areas. Reserve Training: Administers the reserve training and associated programs for the section ensuring consistent standards throughout the section for traditional reservists and ARTs.
This position is with Headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command, Department of the Air Force.
