Job Summary

This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. Major Duties

The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as the Maintenance Squadron Production Superintendent Air Reserve Technician (ART) exercising technical and administrative supervision over subordinate supervisors and workers in accomplishing trades and labor work and to train reservists in the duties and responsibilities set forth herein. DUTIES: Performs work planning responsibilities. Performs work direction responsibilities and serves as technical advisor to flight chief/maintenance supervisor in the resolution of production problems. Performs administrative responsibilities and manages the aircraft maintenance production effort by assigning priorities of work necessary to accomplish flying schedules and maintenance plans.
