This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.

This Assistant Nurse Manager- Mental Health Outpatient RN is located in the Nursing, Mental Health service at the Manchester VA location. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week. Duties included but are not limited to: Supports the Nurse Manager (NM) with supervisory duties and responsibility and accountability for the operation of their designated units. Provides coverage for other ANMs as needed.
Has responsibility and accountability for the direction and supervision of specific orientation, training, development of staff, and evaluation of individual staff performance. Functions as a role model, educator, practitioner, and supervisor providing leadership to the team. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team to remove barriers and implement new evidence-based cutting-edge programs/processes.
Engages in professional organizations to enhance leadership and career growth. Adheres to ethical principles in decision-making, fostering accountability at personal, organizational, and staff levels. Equips staff with tools for competent care and promotes an environment accountability for high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
