Key Responsibilities

NONAPPROPRIATED FUND POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Audiovisual Production Specialist BUSINESS TITLE: Audio/Visual Production Specialist FLSA Status: Non-exempt JOB SERIES: 1071 PAY LEVEL: NF-3 SUMMARY OF DUTIES This position is located within the MCCS Marketing Branch, Camp S.D. Butler, Okinawa, Japan, and reports to the Digital Marketing Manager.

The Audio/Visual Production Specialist supports MCCS Okinawa¿s multi platform media ecosystem by producing high quality video, photography, and audio content. The incumbent plays a key role in shaping MCCS¿s visual storytelling and enhancing communication across the military community. Utilizes a variety of videography and photography equipment including DSLR cameras, lenses, gimbal, lights, and microphones to create high-quality content.

Plans, shoots, and edits photo and video content for social media, the MCCS TV channel, and on installation digital signage across Okinawa. Captures footage in diverse environments, including indoor/outdoor locations, low light conditions, and dynamic event settings. Produces short form and long form video content tailored to platform requirements (e.g., vertical social videos, widescreen TV content, looping digital signage clips).

Documents both scheduled events and spontaneous opportunities to support timely content distribution across channels. Edits video using Adobe Premiere Pro and demonstrates familiarity with complementary tools such as Canva and emerging AI enhanced platforms. Designs motion graphics, lower thirds, transitions, and other visual elements appropriate for TV and digital signage. Records, edits, and mixes audio for radio announcements, voiceovers, and campaign messaging.

Prepares and formats video content for broadcast on the MCCS TV channel, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and scheduling requirements. Creates and updates content for MCCS digital signage screens, optimizing visuals for clarity, readability, and viewer engagement. Coordinates with the Digital Marketing Manager to maintain a consistent programming schedule.

Works closely with social media specialists, graphic designers, account executives, and leadership to support integrated marketing campaigns. Participates in planning sessions, offering creative input and technical recommendations to improve content effectiveness. Maintains, organizes, and properly stores all camera, lighting, audio, and production equipment. Manages digital files in a structured, searchable archive to support long term content reuse and efficient workflow.

Ensures all produced content meets MCCS brand standards, accessibility expectations, and quality benchmarks. Reviews content for accuracy, professionalism, and alignment with campaign goals. Provides World Class Customer Service when interacting with departments, teammates, and supervisors. Adheres to safety regulations, promptly reporting hazards or incidents. Actively supports EEO principles and maintains a workplace free from harassment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
