This position is an Audiovisual Production Specialist responsible for supporting the production of audiovisual (A/V) products and services. The incumbent assists with planning, coordination, and execution of video and multimedia projects under the direction of senior production staff, contributing to the administrative, technical, and creative elements of assigned projects.
This Audio Visual Production Specialist position is located in Direct Reports, Strategic Communications and Public Affairs (SCPA), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to: Provides support to produce A/V products and services by assisting with administrative and logistical tasks such as preparing production sets, and supporting on-location or studio shoots under established guidance.
Assists during production and post-production activities by supporting artistic and technical elements including lighting setup, camera preparation, audio capture, basic motion graphics, and transitional elements, following established procedures and creative direction provided by senior staff. Performs post-production tasks such as assembling, editing, and enhancing pre-recorded footage using non-linear editing software to produce draft or final video products for review.
Work is performed in accordance with defined standards, templates, and production guidelines. Supports photography assignments by capturing images of events and personnel using established photography techniques, including positioning subjects, arranging backgrounds, and applying appropriate technical settings such as lighting, lenses, and filters.
