WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Biologist, you will: Develop, implement, and evaluate scientific policies, procedures, standards, and practices related to biological science, including the application of new methods, approaches, and technologies to complex or emerging public health issues.
Provide expert scientific advice, consultation and leadership in designing, coordinating and maintaining scientific project goals, objectives and priorities within a CIO and/or CDC/ATSDR and in the general public health community. Design, oversee, implement, and conduct biological science studies, surveys, and projects to identify, analyze, and address scientific issues affecting public health operations, policy, and program effectiveness.
Collaborate with scientists, program officials, state health agencies, national and international partners, and other public health organizations to coordinate research activities, improve study implementation, synthesize scientific evidence, and inform future public health policies and program direction.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
