The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position. Serves as IRS' expert in best practices for Braille production.
Develops guidelines, procedures, and practices to ensure consistency and quality in the production and delivery of Braille products by contractors and the AMC production facility. Develops technical specifications, standards and contract task orders for Braille transcription. Leads AMC efforts to analyze Braille product quality and delivery performance by contractors.
Serves as expert in the field of electronic conversion of printed materials into Braille, stays abreast of the latest technology changes, including techniques used by industry, and represents IRS on government-wide studies and projects relating to such.
A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. The posted pay range is $64475 – $121551/yr.
