This position is located at a National Park Service unit and is responsible for performing a variety of substantive budgeting functions. The duty location of this position is negotiable after selection, however the duty location will need to be at a National Park Service worksite (not a remote job) with confirmed space to house the selectee for the position. Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Prepare analyses and provide advice to higher level management on budgetary matters. Oversees areas of internal control and interprets and applies regulation and policy to asses compliance and need for corrective actions. Consolidate and review budget requests to ensure they comply with policies, procedures, and fund source criteria.
Assist with the development, preparation, and revision of the unit budget and in the preparation of instructions to managers regarding funding estimates and budget planning for fiscal years. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level. Physical Demands: The work is mostly sedentary. Work Environment: The work is performed in a typical office setting.
Area Information: Mount Rushmore National Memorial is located three miles west of Keystone, South Dakota, in the Black Hills of southwestern South Dakota.
