This vacancy is for a GS-0560-13, Budget Analyst located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, ASSET LOGISTICS DIVISION in NORFOLK, Virginia.
You will serve as an Budget Analyst and be responsible for budget formulation, execution, and programmatic oversight for SILC's annual Operations and Support Appropriations. Reimbursable management in direct support of the Civil Engineering Units, Facilities Design and Construction Center, and Supply Fund management of Aids to Navigation inventory for SILC's Waterways Operations Product Line. Typical work assignments include: Formulating, justify, and develop annual operating and support budgets, spend plans, and funding estimates. Executing and monitor appropriated and reimbursable funds to ensure proper allocation, obligation, and compliance with funding requirements. Conducting budget analysis, forecasting, trend analysis, and develop recommendations to support management decision-making.
Interpreting and apply Federal appropriations law, OMB guidance, DHS/USCG policies, and financial regulations to ensure compliance. Advising senior leaders, program managers, and stakeholders on budgetary alternatives, funding issues, and resource management strategies.
