The primary purpose of this position is to Serve as the subject matter expert in the execution of activation and mobilization requirements for contingencies, emergent requirements and crisis operations in support of Combatant Commands (CCMDs).
Performs role of Functional Area Representative managing and executing peacetime, contingency and wartime force generation operations. Performs force planning and execution duties for personnel and equipment during joint, Air Force, MAJCOM, and Air Force Component GFM and AFPC/DPW rotational and emergent/contingency operations.
Advises senior deployment readiness specialists in specific phases of a complex mobilization process and develops operating procedures for management and utilization of mobilizations and deployments.
Serves as the representative at subordinate, lateral, and higher headquarters mobilization planning meetings/workshops, Consolidated Planning Schedules (CPS) reviews, and Scheduling Integrated Process Team (SIPT) meetings/conferences to develop mobilization operations plans and programs.
Incumbent ensures AFR functional area forces are managed in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) doctrine and Air Force instructions, thus maximizing predictability, stability, and teaming for deploying units and members while providing the capabilities and forces required to support Combatant Commander (CCDR) mission requirements. Position provides continuity to an organizational structure with a mixed composition of military and civilian personnel.
