The Deputy Director assumes primary responsibility for executing the management and program functions of the Departmental Office of Civil Rights.
The Deputy Director, Departmental Office of Civil Rights (DOCR) is the principal advisor to the DOCR Director. The Deputy has primary responsibility for managing and executing the program functions of the Departmental Office to ensure full implementation of civil rights and equal opportunity principles within the Department.
This includes Department employment practices; services rendered to the public; employment practices of contractors and subcontractors under direct or federally assisted contracts; operation of federally assisted activities; and other programs and efforts involving Department assistance, participation or endorsement. The Deputy Director assumes primary responsibility for executing the management and program functions of the Departmental Office of Civil Rights.
The Deputy Director acts for the Director in their absence.
