Job Summary
The Deputy Director manages the development and implementation of regulatory policies for meat, poultry, and egg inspection. Manages FSIS recall actions, coordinates outbreak investigations, and provides expert advice on domestic and International operations. Directs staff activities to assess contamination incidents, leads recall committees, and establishes public health objectives.
Represents FSIS nationally and internationally, overseeing staff, program management, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Provides administrative and technical direction supervising a staff of food safety inspection professionals.
