The primary purpose of this position is: To exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the 15th Operations Group (OG) as Deputy to the Commander. With the commander, the incumbent oversees the complex. numerous, and varied day-to-day worldwide execution of combat and airlift flying operations, operations support, and special operations under peacetime. contingency and wartime.
The incumbent is authorized to make technical and executive decisions for the 15th OG Commander in all areas of functional responsibility; represents the group and the commander at meetings, conferences. official functions. and community events; and, when acting as the senior group official in the absence of the commander, possesses the same authority and prerogative as the commander, excluding UCMJ authority which is vested in military officers only.
Exercises second level supervisory and managerial authorities. Duties: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the 15th Operations Group Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and 15th WG objectives. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Represents the 15th OG with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
As 15th Operations Group senior civilian and operational subject matter expert, acts as sole process owner and source of continuity for all aviation-related installation support activities.
Leads and/or participates ID special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments to include making periodic, comprehensive assessments and evaluation of program goals/objectives which provide a basis for long-range planning to enhance the organization's management support capabilities.
