Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to develop policies and implementation strategies, and integrates and coordinates execution for all organization functions and activities related to Department of the Air Force (DAF) Special Access Programs, protection of collateral classified information, personnel security programs, and counter-insider threat programs.
Key Responsibilities
The Deputy Director, Security, Special Program Oversight and Information Protection (SAF/OCS) develops policies and implementation strategies and integrates and coordinates execution for all organization functions and activities related to Department of the Air Force (DAF) Special Access Programs, protection of collateral classified information, personnel security programs and counter-insider threat programs.
Responsible for the management and oversight of SAF/OCS to include leadership of the staff. The incumbent's participation extends to all phases of Security, including: Information Security, Declassification, Industrial Security, Automated Information Security (AIS), Personnel Security, Physical Security, Special Access Programs (SAP), Special Compartmented Information, Intelligence and Counterintelligence with special emphasis on program development and oversight aspects.
The incumbent is the alternate Special Access Program Control Officer (SAPCO) and is responsible for providing analysis to the Department of the Air Force (DAF) and Department of Defense (DoD) on all phases of Special Access Programs (Intelligence/Operational/Acquisition) to include physical, personnel, industrial, information assurance, information operations, antiterrorism, force and technology protection, critical infrastructure and operations security,
Requirements & Education
Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is desired. A master's or advanced degree from an accredited institution is highly desired. An undergraduate technical degree or an advanced degree in either a technical or management field is highly desired.
