Job Summary

This position has been instrumental in building the $44 billion loan pipeline of $101 billion in critical infrastructure projects supporting the Department's efforts to improve the national infrastructure system.

Key Responsibilities

The Director provides executive leadership of and expert guidance for the Build America Bureau's Office of Outreach and Project Development, whose mission is to introduce potential customers and stakeholders to Bureau programs, products, and services; identify opportunities for project sponsors to combine innovative project delivery and grants, loans, and private capital to accelerate infrastructure development; determine sponsor and project eligibility for Bureau financing assistance; and promote compliance with applicable federal requirements (such as transportation planning, environmental review, Build America Buy America, and prevailing wages) and DOT strategic goals.

This position will be critical in the Department's formulation of and recommendations on important infrastructure policy and program execution across all modes of transportation.

Requirements & Education

If you are qualifying for this position by substituting education or training for experience, submit a copy of your transcripts or equivalent. A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
