Job Summary

These positions are located in the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE) in Washington, DC. The positions are the Director of the Division of Safe Schools or the Director of the Office of Migrant Education. OESE is a division of the U.S. Department of Education that helps improve student achievement and educational outcomes in preschool, elementary, and secondary schools.

As a Program Manager GS-0340-15, you will be responsible for: Overseeing and directing program evaluation and quality assurance functions to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies to ensure overall program effectiveness and efficiency.

Supervising directing, coordinating, and overseeing the programs, functions, and initiatives performed by a staff of subordinate supervisors or team leaders and the professional, administrative, technical, and support staff of the organization. Directing the development and implementation of agency policies and procedures, business processes, and new or revised system requirements resulting from new or modified organization or agency programs, systems and initiatives.

Providing authoritative technical advice and guidance to senior management on the analysis of program effectiveness and efficiency, and associated policies and procedures. Overseeing the development and implementation of automated and integrated systems, policies, procedures, and projects in support of the effective and efficient planning and management of the assigned programs and functions.

Requirements & Education
