Key Responsibilities
As an Emergency Management Specialist, at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties: Develop and implement emergency management standards, regulations, practices, training, and procedures to minimize or eliminate all-hazards and threats. Understand the Reconstitution and Devolution plans, policies, and procedures.
Manage components of emergency management program(s) and activities during a response, including Emergency Operation Center activation and operations.
Comply with and following emergency management directives, regulations, policies, standards, and guidance (e.g., Presidential Policy Directive -8, Homeland Security Presidential Directive - 20, Federal Continuity Directive 1&2, National Incident Management System, National Response Framework, National Disaster Recovery Framework, National Security Communications Directive 3-10).
