Job Summary

This announcement is issued under the Direct Hire Authority (DHA) to recruit for positions for which there is a critical hiring need. Selectee(s) will receive a career or career-conditional appointment in the competitive service and may be required to serve a one year probationary period. The official title of this position is Supervisory Information Cybersecurity Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), GS-2210-15.

Key Responsibilities

The Infrastructure Security Division (ISD) focuses on protecting critical infrastructure from all hazards by managing risk and enhancing resilience through collaboration with the critical infrastructure community, which includes private sector owners, operators, and employees; State, local, tribal, and territorial officials; and other Federal agencies.

Typical work assignments include, but are not limited to: Developing cyberspace plans, strategy, and policy to support and align with organizational cyberspace missions and activities. Assesses policy needs and collaborates with stakeholders to develop policies to govern cyber activities. Gathering information, identifies, and analyzes issues, and develops recommendations to resolve substantive risk management and infrastructure security challenges.

Leveraging project and program management skills to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of work operations Leading, coordinating, communicating, integrating, and accounting for the overall success of the program, ensuring alignment with critical agency priorities.

Planning, executing, and reporting on original or ongoing analyses, evaluations, or investigations with varied complex features that require a fresh approach to resolve new problems, such as evaluating changes that could result from proposed legislative or regulatory guidelines or from variations in demand for program services. Conducting comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyberspace systems.

Managing programs, including developing and implementing guidance and standing operating procedures, advising senior management and component officials of the status of programs. Representing ISD senior management at DHS/CISA and interagency meetings held in the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). Serving as the Emerging Capabilities team lead and performs a full range of supervisory duties.
