This vacancy is for a GS-0343-14, Energy Analyst located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Office of Energy and Power (CG-DCS-3) in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia.
You will serve as an Energy Analyst and be responsible for enhancing operations, sustaining operational capabilities, and providing/expanding energy supply in support of U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) assets worldwide. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support Coast Guard energy, water, and resilience requirements.
Analyzing energy and utility programs to ensure reliable and resilient support for Coast Guard operations. Reviewing federal laws, regulations, and directives to develop and implement energy policies and guidance. Developing energy projects, statements of work, and contractor requirements to support compliance and program goals. Analyzing energy, financial, and technical data to recommend improvements to program efficiency and performance.
