Responsible for the coordination, development, and implementation of policy in the areas of buildings and equipment maintenance, powerhouse operations and procedures, utility systems, and automated maintenance program throughout the 100 existing institutions within the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). Responsible for policy guidance, training, and coordination for the full implementation of the computerized total maintenance system for all BOP institutions.
Responsible for monitoring and evaluating preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance procedures utilized in all BOP facilities to ensure efficient use of resources. Monitor progress of implementing the Total Maintenance System (TMS) in all BOP facilities, and recommends changes in national policy that may be required to meet goals.
Evaluates and develops training to meet both current and future requirements for the implementation of a computerized maintenance system in all BOP facilities.
