Job Summary

This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Program Support and Audit Division. As a Financial Programs Specialist, you will serve as a Financial Programs Specialist directly supporting a Program Manager by working on system's development and enhancements, and helping manage all the day-to-day operational functions required of the assigned program.

Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Programs Specialist, you will: Support Program Managers in all facets of running the assigned program, which may include coordinating work between federal agencies and financial/fiscal agents, documenting and addressing audits and incidents, reviewing expenses, formulating and managing budgets, developing and enforcing the Bureau of the Fiscal Service and Treasury policies, developing communications strategies, performing analyses, resolving problems, processing improvements, managing the program's Capital Planning Investment Control (CPIC) and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) reporting, and managing the program's marketing and training.

Provide advice and guidance to FS program areas to build, maintain, enhance and operate collection channels, gateways, and programs. Work with Federal agency customers to establish and improve working relationships and provide guidance, resolve problems, and perform duties associated with a central service provider.

Develop strategies and plan for the adoption of and conversion to Treasury revenue collection and deposit reporting systems and programs to achieve the furtherance of converting paper collections to electronic throughout the government. Interpret and assess the impact of new and revised legislation, regulations, executive orders, OMB guidelines and directives, and standards issued from other authoritative sources (i.e., NACHA, GAO).
