Key Responsibilities
Receives, examines, processes, and follows-up on a wide variety of pay entitlement document/actions in one or more specially area (e.g., active, reserve, retired, civilian, and/or annuitant) and travel documents which require carrying out numerous different unrelated procedures Audits work on various pay actions (e.g., settling back pay claims, resolving recent pay problems, etc) ensuring the pay files are correctly updated and in balance Receives and processes indebtedness actions against military members and civilian employees Provides miscellaneous technical task in support of pay and travel functions Provides customer service in person or by telephone, and completes correspondence (e.g., answers written inquiries, prepares letters to obtain missing information, etc.) related to military pay AND prepares reports and collects statistics for monthly submission to higher headquarters
