Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART), responsible for staff guidance, and management of operational and training programs for assigned units. Additionally, provides evaluation and training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. Duties: Provides and advocates for enlisted aircrew activities of subordinate flying units to include unit aircrew flight currency and ground training programs.
Provides staff oversight over aircraft operations and resources. Creates trend analysis/status reports for assigned specialty and flying units and provides them to management. Provides coordination on aircrew waivers relating to special mission sorties, specific home station training programs, and deployments with special mission capabilities of subordinate units. Participates as an aircrew member/instructor/evaluator, in incumbent's specialty area in assigned aircraft.
Coordinates with Senior Enlisted Aircrew Functional Area Manager on quantity and type of student quotas, and monitors utilization of specialized proficiency flying training associated with conversions and/or modifications to assigned aircraft.
