Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade.
Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.
The primary purpose of this position is: As an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer, performs duties as the Chief, Force Generation Division with overall responsibility for establishing, planning, and directing the Command AEF program. DUTIES: Serves as Chief, Force Generation Division with responsibility for strategic planning, sourcing, implementation, deployment, reconstitution, integration and support of AFRC forces.
Accomplishes comprehensive assessments and evaluations of the goals and objectives of the Aerospace Expeditionary Force in relationship to both Air Force and Air Force Reserve Command long-range planning initiatives to more effectively and efficiently accomplish the Command AEF mission and to enhance the AEF management capabilities. Directs the activities of the Force Generation Division.
Establish policies and procedures for efficient and successful accomplishment of the mission. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Maintains a continuous liaison with Air Staff, other headquarters counterparts and DoD offices, representing HQ AFRC/A3 in a variety of high level meetings concerning the Aerospace Expeditionary Force; presents briefing of a sensitive nature concerning the AEF program, critical issues, action items, mission requirements, and others.
Serves as senior advisor to the Director of Operations, providing counsel and guidance to them on all issues concerning the generation of AFRC capability to support AEF requirements and on solutions to controversial and/or highly sensitive issues.
