Key Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Health Communications Officer, you will: Establish policies and procedures to ensure scientific communication products meet organizational requirements for quality, accuracy, timeliness, and integrity. Direct organizational resources and establish operational priorities to support the effective functioning of a scientific communication program.
Lead strategies to expand the reach and impact of emerging infectious disease information among public health partners, professional organizations, communities, and other audiences. This position has 20% supervisory duties, candidates must also have demonstrated or shown the potential to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Applicants should describe any previous experience or responsibilities which could be used in relation to the supervisory requirements of this position.
Requirements & Education
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
