The incumbent, a Health Systems Specialist in the Medical Staff Office under the Chief of Staff at a VA Medical Center (VAMC), conducts analytical reviews, manages data, and advises VAMC leadership on Credentialing and Privileging (C&P) processes. If the review results in a reduction in grade, you could be eligible for grade and/or pay retention.
Implementing, maintenance, and updating of Focused Professional Practice Evaluations (FPPE) and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE) monitoring systems. Analyzing clinical evaluation plans to assure that they meet standards and are thorough and appropriate to measure and document the clinical competence of the Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP).
Working collaboratively with leadership, healthcare providers, the C&P administrative specialists, and other administrative teams in managing the FPPE and the OPPE for the C&P Program. Gathering, analyzing, documenting and tracking program data from beginning to end ensuring program compliance; Lead consultant for the weekly Report Card data related to the C&P Program. Reviewing and completing quarterly reports required by Central Office.
