Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.
Assists Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Chief of Health Information with formal Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR) project management to include detailed planning for BOP-wide implementation, database maintenance and management of access to BEMR. Responsible for assisting with design, modification, and enhancement of BEMR programs.
Participates in clinical advisory groups to provide broad-based input into the design of clinical information system (template notes, clinical reminders, etc.) and engage patient care providers with varying roles including physicians, mid-level practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, dentist, ancillary department personnel, and medical records professionals to contribute to the development and use of the clinical information system.
Analyzes all areas of BEMR and ensure the integrity of the stored data through identification of problem areas and recommending corrective solutions or modifications to improve program efficiency.
