Carry out specific studies and projects that assist the Director to readily focus on program level and managerial issues and decisions. Coordinate monitoring and reporting on the implementation of various initiatives related to VACO and HSA 5.3 strategic plans and requirements. Provide for the maintenance of data related to budget and expenditure estimates in order to provide the best possible patient care within allotted budget.
Advise on fund shortages and makes recommendations regarding funding or program adjustments to promote program effectiveness and efficiency. Provide active and well-informed administrative participation in planning for the delivery of healthcare by taking the initiative to identify needs and potential issues or concerns in resolution of problems.
Work with Health Care Group and Service Chiefs and other staff members in the planning, evaluation and assessment of programs, developing recommendations and improvements and in the implementation of new initiatives; and assures compliance with directives and handbooks. Participate in both long and short-range planning by coordinating the administrative needs of various healthcare groups utilizing lean management principles.
Develop recommendations and plans of action by adapting principles, practices and procedures to meet the specialized needs of the assigned program and/or healthcare group. Ensure High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles are embedded in daily operations, decision-making, and process improvement activities to promote safety, quality, and resilience. Render day-to-day support to the Director as a primary administrative advisor and resource person.
Serve as an advisor and resource person to policy and working groups (e.g., strategic planning groups) to facilitate the changes needed to meet goals and objectives. Develop and finalizes reports for the Director's approval. Ensure that reports are timely, accurate and complete. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm Telework: Ad-Hoc .
